Remember remember the fifth of November Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason why gunpowder, treason Should ever be forgot We have been learning all about the Gunpowder Plot. We have had so much fun learning about all the plotters that we used the roundhouse (Houses of Parliament) to act out the events leading up to the night of 5th November 1605.   Robert Catesby, Guy Fawkes and their Plotters discussing how to kill the King in a secret location...   Alex, pretending to be one of the King's guards protecting the Houses of Parliament... Guy Fawkes used a disguise to get past the King's guard. Days later the guards caught Guy Fawkes in the cellar with barrels of gunpowder. Anna-Mai, Alex and Hugo are acting out the moment where Guy Fawkes was tortured until he told the King and his guards who else was involved with the plot...

Oliver's Vegetables

Oliver's Vegetables This half term we have been doing lots of work around Oliver's vegetables.  In this story Oliver doesn't like vegetables and refuses to eat anything else but chips! Oliver's grandpa has a wonderful garden with lots of new vegetables to try. In class we ate vegetables that were in grandpa's garden and more. We had to think of adjectives to describe the appearance, texture and taste. As you can see from Hugo's face, he did not enjoy the spinach! Keep checking back for more examples of our work.
